What cameras do you use?

I use a few different cameras, I usually have three going at once! A Minolta SR-505 is my go to camera, I have been using a Cannon Sure Shot for the last few years. There are several different versions, but the one I like is from the 80s I think. And lastly I have two point and shoots I will throw in my bad on any given day, a Bell & Howell and an Olympus Epic Stylus. If I am on a shoot I usually am using the Minolta in tandem with a point and shoot. I always carry a camera with me though, you never know when it's going to be a good time to take a photo!

What is your favourite filmstock?

When it comes to which film I like to use, I am probably the least picky person. I shoot often, and usually for myself so I try to keep cost down as much as possible! Most of the time I buy expired film in bulk on ebay. It's really the cheapest way to go about it, I also like all the little imperfections and slight colour changes that come with expired film. I like to manipulate my film with multiple exposure or filters, so it is not terribly important to me that colours how up realistically or that everything is crystal clear and lacking grain. So the type of film I have always changes, and I never invest too much money on it.

For the photos submitted, why are they your favourite?

Of the photos I submitted, I think the two of my friend Tea Leigh in the water are some of my favorite images I ever created. I shot them last summer with her on a day spent skinny dipping in the sun. I love the woman's natural form and all the variations it comes in. We were completely happy and comfortable that day, and I think that really shines through. I also really like my self portraits because of their honesty. I feel very connected to my body, I am not ashamed of it and love to often times shoot myself in the nude. I feel I have taken away the taboo or shame that often time comes along with nudity by taking it into my own hands and putting it out there into the world.
